Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Al-Jasser said that the Kingdom plans to inject SAR 1.6 trillion worth of investments in the next ten years, through partnerships with the private sector and a number of countries, according to SPA.
"We have developed two key aviation hubs, which support the needs of citizens, and link the Kingdom to countries of the world, through 250 tourist destinations," Al-Jasser said, during a seminar at the Saudi-European Investment Forum.
Al-Jasser also pointed out that the Kingdom aims to increase the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to more than 30 million, and tourists to more than 100 million annually in order to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.
The focus is currently on providing quality of life, and interconnection of services with individuals, without repeating any traditional or impractical model, said the minister, stressing that the level of Saudi ambitions is very high, and it enjoys strong capabilities and competitive national cadres.
The forum discusses joint investment opportunities between Saudi Arabia and European Union states in various fields, including transportation and logistics services, with the aim to spur investments, boost relations and economic integration, in addition to facilitating the exchange of knowledge.
