Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today, Oct. 22.
Both leaders held an expanded meeting, and an official talks session, the SPA reported.
During the meeting, the two sides held official discussions about bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea. They also reviewed joint coordination efforts to strengthen aspects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and opportunities to invest the resources available in both countries in a way that achieves common interests, in addition to discussing regional and international developments and related issues.
The Crown Prince and the South Korean President witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, as follows:
First: A draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the establishment of the Strategic Partnership Council between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
Second: The Hydrogen Oasis Initiative for cooperation in the field of green and clean hydrogen.
Third: An agreement between the Saudi government and the South Korean government regarding mutual exemption from short-stay visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, private and official passports.
Fourth: Implementing a joint statistical cooperation program between the General Authority for Statistics the Korean Statistics Authority.
Fifth: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for cooperation in the fields of food and medical products.
