The beloved AlDabab restaurant is bringing the cherished and warm Ramadan traditions from the Turkish Peninsula to the Kingdom for the first time with a rich and generous iftar
Rüya Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s unique culinary destination bringing the rich culinary traditions and cuisine of the Anatolian peninsula, invites guests to enjoy an iftar like never before this Ramadan. Immersing guests in the hearty cuisine of Anatolia – a land shaped by millennia of rule from diverse religions, civilisations and cultures – Rüya Riyadh will honour the cherished traditions of Ramadan with a special set menu filled with traditional and contemporary Turkish classics.
As the sun sets across the Saudi capital’s AlDabab neighbourhood, diners can enjoy a sumptuous spread which includes traditional Ramadan delights, hot and cold mezze, a mixed grill, freshly baked bread and an array of comforting and hearty cuisine, all with a side of heartfelt hospitality. In Rüya’s stunning restaurant, home to a roaring bread oven, colourful artwork and Ottoman-inspired tiling, guests are invited to break their fast with olives, sweet Medjool dates, dried fruit and warming red lentil soup, with a pot of steaming Arabic coffee ready and waiting for all guests. Each dish is meticulously created to bring Turkey’s warm and homely spirit and a traditional Turkish iftar to Saudi Arabia, bringing loved ones together and making memories.
Following the breaking of the fast, guests can enjoy cold mezze – or Soğuk – with star dishes including Atom – char broiled peppers and aubergine on fried garlic yoghurt and pide bread, Hummus, Muhammara, Rafik and Turkish Spoon Salad, before moving on to comforting warm hot mezze – Sicak – of Börek, filo wrapped feta with vegetables, and Menemen – scrambled egg in tomato sauce. Providing nourishment and comfort long into the night, Two Cheese Pide from the Black Sea and Lahmacun – spicy lamb with vegetables – follow. Guests can further relish in a Turkish Mix Platter – truly satiating with Adana kebab, sis tavuk, lamb cutlets and steamed rice. The iftar finishes with the beloved Rüya Künefe – baked Kadayif pastry and melted Majdule cheese in rose and orange syrup with pistachio ice cream. A self-service station with specials like Foul Mudammas and dates, dry fruits, fresh fruit and bread will also be available freely throughout the night.
Ramadan drinks will be available on a self-service basis, including beloved Ramadan mocktails, nourishing Aryan and tea, plus a topped-up Arabic coffee pot for each table. Rüya Riyadh’s iftar brings the warm and inviting home of the Turkish peninsula to the Kingdom for Ramadan for the first time, promising a bountiful and inviting event filled with warmth, vibrancy and hospitality.
