Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman said that relations between Saudi Arabia and India are historic and of mutual interest, with the countries working on future opportunities.
"There is a lot on agenda that we are working on, as we hope through the Saudi-Indian Partnership Council to achieve common goals in all sectors, which are very promising," the Crown Prince said at an official meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his ongoing state visit to India.
He stated that the Indian community in Saudi Arabia plays a very large role in the Kingdom's economic growth, as they constitute 7% of the overall population. They are considered as an integral part and are treated equally with Saudi citizens, the Crown Prince added.
Furthermore, the Crown Prince stressed the need for dedicated efforts to realise the economic corridor project, highlighting the Kingdom's commitment to its on-ground implementation.
At the close of the meeting, the minutes of the Strategic Partnership Council were signed between the governments of Saudi Arabia and India by the Crown Prince and Modi.
