Partnership between Honor and Red Bull Air Race for the G-Flight Brave

Huawei honor, the No. 1 smartphone e-brand, is currently flying high in the region and has now announced its latest partnership with the thrilling Red Bull Air Race World Championship’s Abu Dhabi stop on 11-12 March in Abu Dhabi. As the brand gains more traction with consumers in the Middle East, following the launch of four successful devices in just ten months and 100% growth year-on-year, it is further broadening its user fan base through adrenaline-charged events for its consumers.

As an event partner, honor has invited four brave fans to take flight alongside a Red Bull Air Race Challenger pilot, where they will be exposed to tremendous G-force and aerobatic and air racing manoeuvres with first-hand experience of the superior skills needed to fly the race planes. honor will also be working closely with Red Bull Air Race as content partners to tell the story of its brave fans, their experience as well as the spectacular event itself.

Chris Sunbaigong, Vice President of honor from Huawei commented, “We are delighted to be a part of the upcoming Red Bull Air Race this weekend. At such popular and high energy events such as this one we know the audience will be utilising their smartphones to showcase as well as share their thrilling experience.. As a brand that focuses on the digital natives in the Middle East, we will capitalise on this to bring our ethos For the Brave to our end users”

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship was established in 2003 and sees pilots navigate an obstacle course of air-filled pylons called ‘Air Gates’ in the fastest possible time. Steve Jones, Race Director, Red Bull Air Race commented: “There is a long history with the fascination of flight and the Red Bull Air Race pilots are the best in the world. The control, precision, agility, bravery and strength that is needed for racing in the high speeds and low altitude conditions means only the best pilots can be part of the Red Bull Air Race. It is the ultimate motorsport series in the sky!”

Having launched in the region less than a year ago, honor has already forged a number of brave partnerships including inspirational teenage race car drivers Amna and Hamda Al Qubaisi as brand ambassadors for the honor 6 Plus and the most famous Slackliner on the planet Andy Lewis, performed and inspired the audience with his speech For the Brave to launch the honor 7.

Following its successful launch in the Middle East, honor is now broadening its distribution channels with the new e-commerce site www.HonorArabia.com. As a parent company, Huawei has stabilised its market share in the region and currently sits at the No 2 spot (according to the JFK report) of which honor already contributes 15% of its revenue.
