Non-Jordanian investors own 51.1% of shares in ASE

 The value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors in the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) in June reached JD17.3 million, constituting 17.3 percent of the total trade value, ASE figures have suggested. 

The value of shares sold by non-Jordanians in June stood at JD17 million, marking a JD0.3 million increase in the net non-Jordanian investment at ASE compared with a JD1.7 million decline in the same month of 2018. 

In the January-June period, non-Jordanians bought shares worth JD171.2 million, equivalent to 25.2 percent of the total trade volume, while they sold shares worth JD211.8 million.

Non-Jordanian investors' ownership in companies listed at the ASE by the end of June constituted 51.1 percent of the total market value, 36.5 percent for Arab investors and 14.6 percent for non-Arab investors.
