Ministry of Mining issues 71 mining licenses in July

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 71 new mining licenses in July 2023, with exploration and building materials quarry licenses reaching 45 and 21, respectively, according to a report by the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

The number of effective mining licenses until July 2023 reached 2,348. Building materials quarry licenses amounted to 1,453, then exploration (651), mining and small mine exploitation (182), reconnaissance (37), and surplus mineral ores (25).

Riyadh came first in terms of the large number of licenses, dominating 610, followed by Makkah with 384, then the Eastern Province (380), Madinah (265), Asir (191), and Tabuk (150).
