King Salman’s support for education highlighted

The Cabinet on Monday thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for supporting education efforts in the Kingdom, including the inauguration of the Riyadh International Book Fair, which involves over 500 publishers with about 1.2 million titles.
The Cabinet welcomed the recommendations and resolutions issued by the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Palestine recently held in Jakarta on March 6 and 7, which called for a resolution to the Palestinian crisis.
The Cabinet hailed the ongoing efforts by the security authorities to track down those involved in the targeting of security officers, including suspects who fired on worshipers at Al-Mustafa mosque in Al-Dalwah village, and the suicide bombing at the mosque for the Special Emergency Forces in Asir region.
Later, the Cabinet, at its weekly meeting, announced a series of decisions including authorizing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and interior minister and supervisor of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, to discuss a draft memorandum of cooperation with the Russian government in investigations and public prosecution.
The Cabinet further authorized Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, second deputy premier and defense minister, to seek defense agreements with Bosnia and South Africa. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and joint administrative assistance between the Saudi Customs Department and its counterpart in South Korea.
