Jubail to get thousands of new houses

Several leading Saudi companies are planning to build thousands of houses for new employees in Jubail Industrial City.
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) is preparing to start construction on 8,000 units that will be completed at the end of 2016. This is a result of the expansion of factories in Jubail 2 and Ras Al-Khair.

In a recent report, the RCJY revealed that there are housing projects for employees under construction in Jalmudah District with 774 villas to be delivered in mid-2015, and 540 by the first quarter of 2016.

In related news, the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation is currently building about 1,762 units in Jubail Industrial City, scheduled for completion at the end of 2016.
The Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery is also constructing 217 housing units for its staff in Jalmudah District, while the Saudi International Petrochemical Company will provide 354 for its employees in the same district, in addition to a recreation center, activities hall, mosque and mall.

There has been significant expansion in Jubail Industrial City’s neighborhoods recently to accommodate the growing number of workers.
Several property contractors said that the new housing projects would lower soaring annual rents, which in some instances are SR95,000 for a villa and SR45,000 for a moderate-sized apartment in Jubail city.

During the construction of Jubail Industrial City, the RCJY provided housing with basic infrastructure. The industrial park and community area are supplied with power through source stations and substations. They also have potable water coming through a vast system of pipelines.
The community area of Jubail Industrial City has been designed to include Islamic, traditional and modern styles. Each residential district was designed to include services such as medical centers, shops, schools, mosques, and recreational centers.
