Prince Al Waleed bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Co. (KHC), said Jeddah Tower is poised to see more than SAR 100 billion in investments upon completion, Al Watan Newspaper reported.
He added that the tower is expected to be home to 75,000-100,000 residents.
The project has been officially approved, and construction is now underway.
Al Waleed noted that the development has driven significant growth in the surrounding area, pushing prices of neighboring lands higher.
On Jan. 20, KHC announced the formal resumption of Jeddah Tower’s construction, including concrete pouring, according to Argaam’s data.
KHC’s subsidiary, Jeddah Economic Co. (JEC) is overseeing the project, which will exceed 1,000 meters in height.
Upon completion, it will be the world’s tallest building, developed in collaboration with renowned architects.
