The beloved Italian restaurant raises awareness year-round with its ‘Zahra’ dessert, with funds raised going towards the local Riyadh charity
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raising vital funds for a key local Saudi charity, Il Baretto Riyadh is highlighting its special dessert item, the ‘Zahra’. Taking place in October each year, Breast Cancer Awareness Mont is a worldwide global campaign aiming to increase awareness, promote screening and raise funds for charities and research – all vital steps in combatting the disease.
Named ‘Zahra’, after the Zahra Breast Cancer Association in Riyadh, the dessert item lives on Il Baretto’s menu year-round, raising funds and spreading awareness. Proceeds from the dessert continuously support the local charity’s crucial and admirable work, showing Il Baretto’s dedication and focus on the local community.
The perfect post-dinner treat, the popular dessert was launched in 2022 and features white chocolate, a light vanilla mouse and a zingy citrus filling. Maximising awareness and making diners familiar with the organisation and its crucial work, each Zahra dessert is branded with the Zahra Breast Cancer Association – an ongoing effort since its launch. The Zahra is currently on the menu for SAR78.
Based in Riyadh, Zahra Breast Cancer Association is a health charity and society supporting women battling the disease as well as those recuperative. The charity provides support, education and specialised services, as well as supporting scientific studies of breast cancer.
