HRSD to approve new amendments to flexible, freelance work system: Report

The of Human Ministry Resources and Social Development (HRSD) is set to unveil a decision regarding amendments to the flexible and freelance work system during the coming week or after Eid Al-Fitr, the Saudi newspaper Al Eqtisadiah reported.

The newspaper stated that the amendments to the flexible and freelance work system are geared towards broadening the scope of beneficiaries of this system.

The ministry's objective, with the introduction of flexible work arrangements, is to increase the opportunities for job seekers to secure flexible jobs.

Additionally, HRSD aims to facilitate their integration into the labor market, improve their skill sets and experiences, and address the issue of reducing the reliance on foreign labor. By increasing the participation of citizens in the workforce, this decision is anticipated to contribute to a decline in the unemployment rate, Al Eqtisadiah added.
