First Saudi geospatial strategy workshop held online

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information organized the first National Geospatial Strategy Workshop on Tuesday.

Local and international experts attended the event, which was first of a series of similar workshops the authority intends to organize in the coming days.

The authority aims to exchange information and expertise through such events and upgrade the national strategy in sync with the international standards.

The authority manages the field of surveying, map production, geographic information, and marine survey. It also produces and markets geospatial information and services.

The authority seeks to strengthen ties with its regional and international counterparts.

The workshop focused on ways to increase coordination with local and international experts and devise an integrated strategy that suits the Kingdom’s national strategic goals and benefit others as well.
