EARTH HOUR AT KHALIDYA PALACE RAYHAAN BY ROTANA

 Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana marked the Earth Hour, one of the world’s most important calls to action in the fight against climate change with a huge candle painting to promote awareness about climate change to its guests for the 6th year running.

All the invited guests and colleagues participated in the candle-lighting ceremony on the 19th of March 2016 at 08.30 pm. The Khalidiya Palace by Rotana’s team drew a picture symbolizing the Earth Hour activity. In addition to this ceremony, all lights were turned off and dimmed at the hotel’s lobby for one full hour. Guests were also encouraged to turn off the lights in their rooms in support of this cause.

“Climate change is a big issue today, and the Earth Hour is significant move towards improvement and awareness. We are proud to support this worthy cause on this day, and work on saving our planet every day of the year”, says Eleni Tsolakou, the General Manager at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.

Earth hour has become an important staple of environmental awareness and consciousness. Reducing the carbon footprint, both in the personal life and in the workplace, is essential in order to create a robust and environmentally safe world. Preserving the natural heritage of our planet is what Earth Hour is all about.

The colleagues and the guests in Khalidiya Palace by Rotana worked hard on preparing this activity, and the day itself was the proof of their hard work and commitment.
