Dubai Customs honors winner of Paralympic Shooting World Cup

His Excellency Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, honored Aisha Al Muhairi, a Dubai Customs employee, for winning the gold medal in the first Paralympic Shooting World Cup competition.

The Emirati Paralympic shooter Ayesha Al Mehairi secured two medals, including gold, in the R11-10m air rifle mixed team SH2 at the Chateauroux 2022 Para Shooting World Cup in France on Thursday.

She teamed up with Saeed Al Blooshi to rally from 9-15 and win 17-15 against the Italian pair of Pamela Novaglio and Andrea Liverani - bronze medallists at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics - to secure the top spot.

The honoring stems from Dubai Customs’ strategy to support all sports talents that contribute to raising the name of the UAE in international championships.

“Dubai Customs supports athletics and sports, and encourages a healthy and active lifestyle among the employees,” said

Yousef Ozair

Mubarak, Director of IPR Department. “Aisha’s achievement is a source of pride to us in Dubai Customs and to the UAE, and inspiration to other employees and society as a whole.”
