Dubai Courts Sign Memorandum of Understanding with Moro Data Center to Enhance Digital Transformation

Dubai Courts have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Moro Data Center for Integrated Solutions, aiming to involve the company in the digital transformation process within the courts and develop their capabilities in relation to digital transformation, technology solutions, and consultations.

 

His Excellency prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts,

 

affirmed that the signing of the memorandum is in line with the government’s aspirations to reduce procedural bureaucracy, review processes and procedures within the courts, and elevate the concept of their electronic reengineering.

 

The signing of the agreement was attended by His Excellency Judge Abdul Qader Musa, President of the Court of Cassation, His Excellency Judge Omar Miran, Judge of Cassation, Mr. Mohammed Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Case Management Sector, and Mr. Abdelaziz Al Hammadi, Director of Information Technology Department. The agreement was signed on behalf of Dubai Courts by Mr. Abdul Rahim Ahli, Executive Director of the Institutional Support and Communication Sector. The Memorandum stipulates the identification of the courts’ and the department’s needs for processes and procedures required to be designed and developed, and the consideration of raising recommendations for the development of systems, networks and their security, the development of databases and their security, the development of the technical support system, and the internal and external service systems.

 

The aim of the Memorandum is to summarize, analyze, and understand the processes, procedures, services, and appropriate technical solutions, and their suitability for the current and future requirements of both parties, and to facilitate further discussions and negotiations regarding the business objectives of each of them. In addition to studying and analyzing the systems and technical infrastructure of Dubai Courts, studying the requirements of Dubai Courts from technology projects and the digital transformation plan for the systems, databases, artificial intelligence, and future projects.

 

On his part, Engineer Marwan Salem bin Haider, Deputy Chairman of the Board for the Digital Sector and CEO of Dewa Digital Group, said: "We work according to the vision and directives of the wise leadership to enable the journey of digital transformation and sustainability in the United Arab Emirates, and we are pleased to cooperate with Dubai Courts to enhance their journey in the field of digital transformation and cybersecurity, which are two crucial in bolstering   the ‘Smart Dubai’ initiative, which aims for Dubai to be the smartest and happiest city in the world. Our collaboration also underscores the importance of leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of the judicial system. This resonates  with the strategic plan of the Dubai Courts, which focuses on intelligence and sustainability. It includes a comprehensive comparison of analytics results, their compliance with smart government and information security standards, and the efficiency and capability of the current system. This is aimed at meeting the needs of the courts and regulatory units in the current and future periods, stating the volume of resource needs, and coordinating with the IT management to develop a digital transformation strategy for the courts.
