DGDA, Prince Sultan University Sign MoU on Academic, Science Cooperation, National Talent Development

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with Prince Sultan University, on of Saudi Arabia’s leading private higher education institutions.

The MoU was signed at the DGDA’s headquarters in the namesake city by Dr. Ahmed Bin Saleh Al-Yamani, President of PSU, and Jerry Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of the DGDA.

According to the MoU, the two sides will cooperate on the advancement of all academic, training and cultural fields, the hiring of national professionals, and the holding of science conferences and job fairs. They will also jointly coordinate, prepare for, and implement projects, initiatives and events, especially those that concern hiring, learning, statistics, science and academics, events, and exhibitions and conferences as well as volunteering and training programs.

Expressing his delight with the opportunity to work with PSU, Inzerillo said that the MoU will help the DGDA recruit bright young hires from among the university’s learners to strengthen its staff or to work on its various projects. It will also facilitate training and skill building opportunities, introduce graduates to national job opportunities, and utilize the university’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in statistics, studies, and academic and scientific research. The two sides will work together on exhibitions, conferences, and events that cover common themes. All of these benefits will contribute to the objectives of Vision 2030 that pertain to nationalizing jobs and knowledge and involving national professionals in the country’s development.

Dr. Yamani, PSU’s President, was equally glad to be bolstering collaboration with the DGDA, saying that it would offer quality training opportunities to students either at the DGDA or at any of its myriad projects, which in turn would familiarize them with the job market and help them gain the skills they need to compete and become productive.

He pointed out that the two sides’ cooperation will also facilitate executive learning and higher education opportunities for the DGDA’s staff, bolstering their expertise and enriching their knowledge and experience.

Yamani stressed that the MoU alludes to PSU’s status as an academic powerhouse with a respected pedigree built on supporting social responsibility initiatives, sustainable development for the benefit of Diriyah’s local community, and promoting creativity among ambitious young Saudis who not only seek, but create, knowledge to meet the expectations of the leadership and the aspirations of Vision 2030.

Diriyah is the birthplace of the First Saudi State. When finished, the Diriyah Gate Development Project will present a slew of cultural, recreational, commercial, hospitality, business, and residential offerings, including 38 upscale hotels and a variety of museums and cultural institutions, along with a bustling retail experience that blends in nicely with the Bujairi district.
