Septmeber 21st, 2023 RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Bringing a dose of cinematic glamour to Riyadh, MR CHOW is making its first Middle East debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 5 October 2023. Born in London in 1968, the globally renowned restaurant has been a hotspot for A-list celebrities and legendary clientele in the worlds of entertainment, music, sports, politics, design, and fashion for 55 years - creating a loyal following thanks to its exquisite cuisine, extraordinary design, perfectly tailored staff and impeccable service. 

Following on from launches in Beverly Hills, Miami, Las Vegas and New York City, MR CHOW Riyadh will build on the brand’s storied legacy and solidify its international fame. A partnership with Mohammed Jawa, MJS Holding, the restaurant is located in the city’s bustling King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) and will delight guests with authentic Beijing cuisine and elevated European-inspired service.

Guests at MR CHOW Riyadh will be taken on a personalised dining journey with the delectable flavours and textures curated by Executive Chef Jia He. Highlights include the Green Prawns, famous Chicken Satay, Peking Duck and handmade MR CHOW Noodles. Guests will also be able to delight in the brand’s signature hand-pulled noodle show – with MR CHOW the first to offer the now iconic experience as nightly entertainment. 

Interiors at MR CHOW Riyadh are the work of Michael Chow, the man behind the global restaurants’ classical and glamorous designs. The site will infuse art and design with performance and culinary innovation, also exhibiting a digital art installation – setting the tone for MR CHOW to become a landmark of sophistication and excellence. Michael Chow will also be present to host the opening celebrations of the restaurant in October – personally introducing the city to the iconic brand. 

Thanks to its elevated approach to tradition, MR CHOW was widely known for changing perceptions of Chinese food across the US. Cementing its culinary prestige, the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences awarded Mr Chow the 5 Star Diamond Award for excellence, service, and cuisine - a testament to the establishments’ unwavering culinary mastery and artistry.

MR CHOW comes to the Kingdom in partnership with MJS Holding, founded by restauranteur Mohammed Jawa. Jawa has been instrumental in developing Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning restaurant scene and bringing some of the world’s most famous restaurants to the country for the first time – directly in alignment with Vision 2030.
