From October 3 to 5, Moscow will once again capture the interest of the international fashion community by hosting the grand BRICS+ Fashion Summit, welcoming representatives from over 100 countries. This unique event will unite prominent fashion industry professionals from the Middle East, China, India, Latin America, and other rapidly developing regions. A key focus of the forum will be on preserving and promoting cultural diversity while fostering necessary innovation in the face of ongoing globalization.
Saudi Arabia is actively advancing its fashion and design industry as part of the Vision 2030 initiative, making significant investments to expand local textile and clothing production. A key strategic priority for the country is to create favorable conditions for exporting products from local designers to international markets. This ongoing pursuit of economic and social well-being has a ripple effect throughout the Middle East, from where an impressive delegation will attend the BRICS+ Fashion Summit. Delegates from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries will contribute as speakers in the business program.
Another significant event coinciding with the Summit is Moscow Fashion Week, taking place from October 4 to 9. This year's Moscow Fashion Week will feature over 80 fashion shows that highlight innovative interpretations of traditional clothing and the adaptation of global fashion trends to local cultural contexts. ANGELO ESTERA from the UAE will debut a vibrant new collection titled "Elysian Blooms," inspired by the beauty and richness of the mythical gardens of Elysium.
Senan Kamel, Founder and Director of Baghdad Fashion Week, emphasized that the Summit serves as a crucial platform for dialogue and collaboration among countries in the fashion industry. "The BRICS+ Fashion Summit is a vital platform for enhancing dialogue among emerging countries. It provides participating nations with the opportunity to exchange ideas and visions on how to develop the fashion industry in a way that aligns with different cultures and trends. This platform fosters cooperation and understanding among designers and professionals in the fashion industry from various countries, helping to build a bridge for sustainable development and communication in this field" - Senan Kamel shared.
The highlight of the Summit will be the International Exhibition “Heritage”, showcasing over 150 works by designers from 40 countries, including Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt. This further solidifies Moscow's position as a rising leader in the fashion and design industry, all while honoring and preserving the authentic cultures of other nations.
