ARABAL 2023 Opens Today under the Patronage of H.E. Bandar AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources

Running its 25th edition and hosted by Ma’aden, the Arab International Aluminium Conference and Exhibition (ARABAL), the premier platform for the aluminium industry in the Arab world opens today at Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

ARABAL was honoured to have H.E. Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Vice-Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, deliver the Keynote Opening Session alongside Ma’aden CEO, Robert Wilt, and ARABAL Chairman Mohammed Al-Naki.

Following the opening remarks, H.E. Khalid Al-Mudaifer officially inaugurated the ARABAL Exhibition. He toured the stands, beginning with Ma'aden, and then visited other ARABAL Committee Members' stands, including Alba, EGA, and Sohar Aluminium, as well as prominent Saudi institutions and industry players.

ARABAL was honoured to have distinguished keynote panellists, including Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba); Ali Saeed Al-Qahtani, Executive Vice President, Aluminium Business Unit at Ma’aden; Said Al Masoudi, CEO of Sohar Aluminium; Salman Abdulla, EVP ESG & Sustainability at EGA; and Zaid Aljanabi, Global Lead Analyst at CRU, adding invaluable insights to the conference.

Alongside the ARABAL conference, our exhibition showcased industry leaders in the global Aluminium sector, including GMI, Pyrotek, Metal Alloys, Bruck Textiles, Epiq Machinery, Fives, Storvik Group, Pyrogenesis, AMTC, Refratechnik, and more. The exhibition featured specialists across the entire industry spectrum, from upstream to midstream and downstream.

As the sun set, Ma’aden invited all participants to a memorable Gala Dinner, celebrating Arabian culture at the Osha Hall in New Diriyah, featuring the best of Saudi cuisine, arts, crafts, and spirit.
