Andrew Brown, Shell’s Upstream Director, will join Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Oil H.E. Mr Anas Al-Saleh and Nizar Al-Adsani, Deputy Chairman & CEO, KPC, at the Kuwait Oil and Gas Summit on April 11-12. The Summit organisers CWC, the Ministry of Oil and KPC & its subsidiaries will provide the oil and gas industry with an unrivalled chance to ask directly how Kuwait can adapt, innovate and prosper in the changing energy world.
The Summit will feature an interactive programme designed to engage in forward-thinking debate and build relationships with the industry leaders. Kuwait awarded projects worth a record $32 billion last year and plans to raise the figure in 2016 despite a sharp decline in oil revenues, therefore making Kuwait very attractive to international investors.
Nizar Al-Adsani, Deputy Chairman & CEO, KPC stated “it gives me great pleasure to announce that the 4th Kuwait Oil & Gas Summit will be supported by KPC. This highly interactive Summit provides an ideal vehicle for stakeholders to review the progress that is being made and discuss recommendations for future collaboration and growth”.
The Summit boasts an impressive array of distinguished speakers, with the opening session featuring Andrew Brown, Shell’s Upstream Director, Jamal Abdulaziz Jaafar, CEO, KOC, and Jason Bordoff, Founding Director of the Center of Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, who summed up the Summit aims: “The Kuwait Oil and Gas Summit is a valuable opportunity to foster a deeper shared understanding of how different regions are responding to a rapidly changing global energy system”.
