Almosafer Awarded as Key Contributor to mada Success

Almosafer (www.almosafer.com), the leading online travel platform in Saudi Arabia, has been recognized by the national payment network in KSA ‘mada’ as one of the top contributors to the phenomenal success of mada electronic payments at an award ceremony in Riyadh on 19 March, 2019.

Celebrating the incredible milestone of 1 billion mada transactions during a private event at the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, mada representatives, banking partners and key merchants gathered to commemorate this success and to recognize the key players who have helped in crossing the 1 billion mark.

Almosafer, one of the most important online partners for mada cards in KSA, has experienced an exponential growth of mada transactions across app, web and mobile web platforms. Since the payment method launched online in April 2018, Almosafer recorded over 170,000 mada transactions and within less than a year, over 38% of all transactions processed through Almosafer’s platforms are paid via mada cards.

Al Tayyar Travel Group CEO Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood, on behalf of Almosafer, the group’s consumer travel brand, said: “We are proud to have been recognized as an instrumental contributor in mada’s success. This achievement is synonymous with the growth of Almosafer as a Saudi-first travel brand and an acknowledgment of the hard work we have put into developing a seamless journey for our users.  We are committed to providing greater convenience for our customers so they can book with us however, whenever and wherever they wish.”

Almosafer accepts mada cards across all mobile and web platforms in KSA and users can complete their payments for hotels bookings, flight tickets and holiday packages simply and securely with their mada cards.
