1.7M pilgrims perform Hajj in 2026: GASTAT

The total number of pilgrims performing Hajj this year reached 1.71 million.

According to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), 1.5 million pilgrims arrived from outside the Kingdom, while the number of domestic pilgrims, including Saudi citizens and residents, stood at 160,650.

Male pilgrims accounted for 893,400 of total, while female pilgrims numbered 813,910.

Regarding pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom, GASTAT said that 1.49 million pilgrims entered Saudi Arabia through air ports, 54,430 arrived via land crossings, and 6,497 pilgrims entered the Kingdom through sea ports.

*The number of domestic pilgrims reached nearly 10,000 due to COVID 19. In 2021, the number of pilgrims was increased to 60,000 from inside the Kingdom.
