The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s largest producers of electricity.[1] Luckily, as government initiatives and consumer awareness about energy efficiency continue to grow, the Kingdom is in a well state of preparation for an increase in power demand. Becoming a greener and more sustainable nation is one of the top goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. LG, through its many energy-conscious products, specifically its air solutions, is proud to be a supporter and provider of the Kingdom’s green initiatives.
LG’s Yalla Green Initiative, which has recently kicked off in Saudi Arabia, cements the brand’s promise of energy-efficient air solutions. LG has always provided innovative technologies that stand out in the market in terms of energy conservation before the new mandate. However, the Yalla Green initiative was born in light of the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER), the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization’s (SASO) most recently mandated requirement. Introduced in line with the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center’s (SEEC) objective to preserve KSA’s natural resources and enhance the economic and social welfare of the Saudi population, where the SEER label helps measure our household appliances’ “green” level and its impact on the environment.
At a time where it matters most, the supply of LG’s green air solutions in the Saudi market perfectly meets the increasing demand. Recent studies show that, in Saudi Arabia, a staggering 83.7%[2] consider electricity conservation important, with 52% considering energy efficiency labels on the appliance before purchasing. SEER-branded LG air conditioners, in that case, are the easiest way to inform consumers looking to track their energy on their spend: the higher the rating, the greater the energy efficiency.
And the good news is, measuring by that standard: all of LG’s Inverter ACs are green. As the Kingdom’s first green-certified ACs, LG air conditioners apply the latest technology to save energy, money, and deliver the promise of a greener Kingdom through lowering energy consumption by 53% while still delivering 60% faster cooling[3].
The Saudi consumer attitude towards energy conservation is clearly shifting towards greener and more sustainable solutions. As energy efficiency habits become an increasingly growing trend, air solution appliances that do not compromise on comfort and performance while possessing a high SEER rating are now more in demand than ever.
