Deputy Minister of Labor Ahmad Al-Humaidan has emphasized the need for consensus and a unified vision regarding labor issues between Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.
The Saudi Ministry of Labor (MoL) has launched major efforts to adjust the labor market by building mechanisms to ensure protection and control, he has been quoted by local media as saying.
During a meeting with a delegation of the UAE labor ministry in Riyadh on Friday, Al-Humaidan reportedly said the ministry is taking strategic steps in the Saudi labor market through programs and initiatives aimed at the development of a productive national workforce.
“The ministry has provided a number of programs and initiatives that will create more job opportunities,” he added.
Abdullah Abuthnin, undersecretary of the MoL Inspection and the Development of Work Environment, Mohammed Al-Faleh, assistant undersecretary for inspection, and the directors of departments were present during the meeting.
The UAE delegation discussed and reviewed the experience of the Saudi MoL in programs and systems concerning the labor market.
