This Eid, Kuwaiti Abaya Design Houses Shine with Swarovski

As the festive season swiftly approaches, Swarovski, the global leader in cut crystal and fashion jewelry, is proud to present two of the major players in Kuwait’s ever growing modest wear segment, Bait Hanayen and Shadow. In collaborating with these two different brands, Swarovski continues to set the mark high for the modern modest wear segment within the region.

Founded in 2008, Bait Hanayen has always been at the forefront of the modest wear trends. This year in preparation for the warm and festive Eid season, Bait Hanayen’s “Retro” collection has found a subtle inspiration from the tropical mangroves, blending luxurious fabrics with Swarovski crystals in green, turquoises, whites and mauves to create a striking set of pieces that fit the elegant nature of the brand. The abayas reflect the highest level of feminism, using floral motifs, abstract cuts, joints using intricate fabrics in neutral colors, and elegant embroideries.

Commenting on the collection, Mohamed Talat, General Manager of Bait Hanayen said, “The outcome of this collection is a testament to the longstanding relationship between Bait Hanayen and Swarovski. The combination of Swarovski crystals along with the highest quality fabrics coupled with the creativity of the designs are key when creating every piece in our ateliers.

Another brand that also understands the importance of creativity is Kuwaiti based brand Shadow. This year the Folklore of Arabia comes alive in their Eid collection, aptly titled “Regal” with flared and flowy shapes, belted waists and unique crystal applications taking center stage in this collection. With this collection too, Shadow stands true to its ethos of dressing the modern woman in sophisticated modest-wear. The designs are creatively embellished with an array of Swarovski crystals in various colors from the black patina to the classic dark indigo and not forgetting the very popular blush rose. Some of Regal’s highlights include a beautiful piece with crystal embellished shoulders in the new Ivory Cream tone along with the avant-garde piece with loose crystals framed in tulle pockets for a playful sparkle.

CEO of Shadow, Meshaal Al Shatti describes Regal, saying, “It’s brilliant when collaborations like these can help bring to light the perfect synergies between design houses and Swarovski. More specifically the creative ways in which their beautiful crystals can be used within the modest wear segment, while keeping with the latest trends.
