The Saudi Sports for All Federation puts the finishing touches to the Sports for All Expo Exhibition will be the largest event of its kind held in the Kingdom

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has completed its preparations to launch the Sports for All Expo (SFA Expo): the largest fitness and health exhibition in the Kingdom. Scheduled to take place from May 18 to May 20, 2023 — at Riyadh Front, — the event will bring fitness enthusiasts, professionals and experts from around the Kingdom and beyond together to take part in a range of sporting events, panel discussions and programs.

 

SFA Expo has been launched as a unique platform to showcase established regional and global brands and services advancing the sports, wellness and fitness industries. It will offer participants the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and share insights. 

 

The exhibition area is more than 10 thousand square meters, and it attracts more than 45 speakers and trainers specialized in various sports and health fields. The percentage of international companies participating in it is 22% of the total participating companies, 39% are local companies, and 39% are companies from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

 

The exhibition will also immerse attendees in an affirming environment conducive to establishing grassroot connections and tapping into the burgeoning Saudi sports market. 

 

Billed as the ultimate destination for all sports enthusiasts, experts, and leaders, SFA Expo will feature a variety of talks, workshops and competitions. Guests will also be invited to get fit and active at the event by taking part in an array of sports activities.

 

Day 1 of SFA Expo will be headlined by a selection of lively workshops. These include “The Sports Community Group”, set to be hosted by R7 Club trainer, Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, and Khaled Yamani, Founder and President of Masafat; and “Smart Investment in Sports”: an informative session that will highlight the unique perspectives of Adnan Al Khalaf, CEO of Leejam Company, and Daniel Bernard, an active strategist and investor in startups.

 

Day 2 will be enlivened by a panel discussion entitled, “Lifestyle Enhancement”. The panel will bring an impressive lineup of speakers together to discuss the role of sports and physical activity in improving people’s lives. The panelists will include Dr. Dean & Dr. Aisha Shirazi,Dr. Cyrus Khambata and Olympic specialist,  Dr. Janine McKay. 

 

A group discussion on sports in Saudi sports federations, will also be held. Moderated by Leila El-Shenawy, Health Programs Senior Manager, Special Olympics MENA, the discussion will provide Chelsea Yamas, a platform to highlight how online strategies and offline networks can be combined to build strong societies. During the discussion, Sarah Farhoud, will address the topic of building the body, providing answers to questions raised. Dr. Dean and Aisha Al-Shirzai will also discuss brain health and dementia prevention. Over the course of the session, Dr. Cyrus Khambatta will detail how to master diabetes, while Dr. Janine McKay will be focused on women's health.

 

Day 3 of the event will bring the exhibition’s sponsors, Hisamitsu, and The Badminton Group together to host a discussion on augmented reality, virtual reality, and play. “Health and Fitness for All”, a discussion — hosted by Kristen Johnson, and Andy Iches. 

 

In addition to the range of panels held over the course of the exhibition, several talks and presentations will also be hosted by a diversity of international experts, with these addressing subjects such as: “How a small idea can change people's lives forever”, “Empowering Women: How to Overcome Obstacles”, and “How to build your own sports business”.

 

On the final day of the event, the Community Sports Group Awards will be held. The awards will celebrate the contributions of the Kingdom’s leading community sports groups to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of Saudi citizens and residents through the practice of physical activities. 

 

The awards will spotlight a selection of community sports groups — across a range of categories — for advancing the Saudi sports industry and regional sports culture. The Community Sports Group Awards categories are as follows: “Most active Community Sports Group on the SFA app”; “Most unique event idea”; “Most effective sustainable and/or community service initiative”; and “Most active university group male/female”.

 

Ultimately, in line with Vision 2030 and the goals of the Quality of Life Program, SFA Expo is fully geared towards inspiring people and communities across the country to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.

 

As part of SFA’s mission and mandate to raise physical activity levels in Saudi Arabia to 40% by 2030, SFA Expo will help to advance sports culture in the Kingdom, bolstering the regional sports industry and safeguarding its future.
