Leading maritime authority, The Nautical Institute, today announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Technical Conference will both take place during UAE Maritime Week for the first time.
Planned to take place at the flagship event, Seatrade Maritime Logistics Middle East 2025 from 6-8 May 2025, the Dubai event is held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and organised by Seatrade Maritime, part of Informa Markets.
As an official Supporting Organisation, championing the highest professional standards, best practice, competence and safety in maritime, The Nautical Institute’s Technical Conference takes place at the World Trade Centre Main Stage on Day 3, Thursday 8th May. CEO Capt. John Lloyd RD MNM MBA CMMar FNI (pictured), said:

Themed UAE: A world of maritime skills and opportunities and Skills of the future: Ensuring maritime sustainability, the two sessions will bring together younger professionals representing the local workforce and industry experts from across the world. Participants will have the opportunity to network, gain valuable insights and actively engage in discussions focused on building a sustainable future for the maritime industry.

The Nautical Institute's AGM takes place on 7th May at Dubai International Seafarers Center. At the AGM, members of The Nautical Institute will be updated on the work of the Institute over the past 12 months and will be asked to elect members to represent their interests on Council.
