The first league in the UAE enabling top academies and club academies to compete across the nation

The du UAE FA Academy League (du UAE FAAL), a landmark nationwide U17 football league, enabling UAE Football Club academies to compete alongside top private football academies for the first time, revealed today the line-up of academies who will participate in the league’s inaugural season. 

du UAE FAAL kicks off on 19th January and the line-up includes Al Ahli Club, Al Jazeera Club, Al Ain Club, Emirates Club, du LaLiga HPC and FCBEscola among others.

Commenting on the ground-breaking initiative, Dr. Khalid Abdullah, Managing Director, Football Association Academy, said, “We are excited to kick off the first season of the UAE Football Association Academy League that will enable youth from all backgrounds and nationalities across the UAE to raise their level of football and earn a chance to be scouted by both national or international pro-football teams and clubs.  The high level of interest from club and private academies reinforces the demand for a league at this standard and we look forward to the kick off this January.”

 

du UAE FAAL kicks off with the participation of the nation’s private academies and UAE Football Club academies from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates.

Recognizing the importance of the academy league, Hussein Murad, CEO Inspiratus and organizers of du UAE FAAL said, “We have a very strong line-up of clubs and academies for the kick of this ground breaking league and we look forward to the participation of all national clubs and private academies across the UAE in our second season which will be expanded to include 5 age categories, U18, U16, U14, U12 and U10.”

The League runs from January 2017 to April 2017 and matches will be played in world-class locations across the nation.
