His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Asir honored Al-Jazeera Paints, the giant of high quality paints industry in the Middle East and surrounding regions on the International Day for Civil Defense 1436H which was held under the slogan: “Risk Free Sustainable Development”. His Excellency Maj. Gen. Muhammad bin Rafee Al Shihri, the Civil Defense Director General for Asir region and a number of Civil Defense leaders in the area have attended the celebration. Al-Jazeera Paints Director of Health & Safety & Environment, Eng. Abdul Rahman Bin Musleh Al Qahtani received the Honorary Shield in the celebration held in Abha city.

Mr. Abdulla bin Saud Al-Romaih, Al-Jazeera Paints General Manger expressed his gratitude and appreciation for His Highness the Emir of Asir and His Excellency the Director of the Civil Defense for this recognition which he viewed as an appreciation for company efforts and its role in realizing safety and occupational health along with the keenness to take all occupational safety from all risks and dangers along with providing healthy and sound environment in its premises and plants.

Al-Romaih pointed out that Al-Jazeera Paints obtained the OHSAS 18001:2007 (Professional, Safety and Health Management System) certificate which confirms company industrial efficiency, its safe and healthy work environment which enhance productivity, company correspondence to safety, security, environment and health standards along with being socially responsible. Moreover, the company is in line with sustainable green buildings concept which is implemented in several countries and is being viewed as a basic requirement for adoption by any new building or project.

Al-Jazeera Paints strives to make its products safe for plant’s workers, paint applicator and those who are exposed to it by neutralizing a group of raw material that are included in the process of manufacturing of paints which may cause health problems.
