The Department of Community Development to showcase 6 innovative digital projects at GITEX Technology Week 2023

The Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2023, the largest technology and artificial intelligence exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, which will be held from 16 to 20 October at Dubai World Trade Center.

During its participation in the event, and under the banner of the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, DCD will showcase six innovative projects that reflect its commitment to developing digital tools used to study society and employing cutting-edge technologies to collect and analyse data.

The department also aims to maximise the benefits of digital technologies in developing social services. Additionally, it strives to develop policies, standards, systems, and regulatory tools to elevate the quality of services within the social sector in Abu Dhabi, ultimately working toward a decent quality of life for all members of society.

With regard to the social sector entities in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, the Family Development Foundation, and the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an will jointly present approximately nine technical projects designed to enhance the quality of the services they provide, within the framework of supporting the digital transformation process in Abu Dhabi.

The DCD confirms that its participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2023 is of great importance by displaying technical projects in front of all visitors to the exhibition who come to it from various parts of the world, especially since GITEX is a technology exhibition through which the latest new and innovative projects and technologies are displayed, which aim to understand and address the needs of society, the department is committed to providing digital and smart tools and platforms as part of its efforts to achieve a decent life for the community.

Emphasising the significance of its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2023, the DCD highlighted this remarkable opportunity to showcase technical projects to visitors from all around the world. With GITEX being a renowned technology exhibition, it is a prime location to present DCD’s latest innovative projects and technologies and reinforce its commitment to providing smart tools and platforms to understand and address society's needs and ensure a good quality of life for everyone in the community.
