The CMA CGM Group announces the arrival of the first vessel to call the port of Yanbu

The CMA CGM Group, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is pleased to announce the arrival of its first vessel (1,100 TEUs) today, April 19th 2020, at the port of Yanbu and officially inaugurates the recently launched JEDDEX line.

CMA CGM is the first and only shipping line to call directly Yanbu port. The JEDDEX line offers a direct service between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Somalia by deploying 4 dedicated vessels on a weekly basis. 

The new weekly line provides further trade and business opportunities for customers, in addition to shorter transit times for reefer cargo as well as sensitive cargo in dry containers.

With the launch of the JEDDEX line, the Group is continuing to strengthen its commitment and presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which now reaches a total of 23 weekly services and 38 weekly calls. It offers new prospects for Saudi import and export through Yanbu, one of the fastest growing areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
