Swarovski, in partnership with Chalhoub Group, is launching the brand’s e-commerce platform in the UAE. This launch comes in line with Swarovski’s digitalization strategy aiming at reaching out to tech- savvy consumers in the UAE and providing them with a delightful and equally convenient shopping experience.
Roland Moecke, Executive Vice President, Consumer Goods Business, Swarovski: "For us at Swarovski our consumer always stands in the middle of what we do and how we present ourselves as a brand. Consequently we want to be accessible for our consumer in the traditional brick & mortar stores but as well in the e-commerce world. Bringing the two worlds close to each other and integrating them seamlessly is the future that our omni-channel shopper expects from us. We are very proud and happy to go live with our digital store in partnership with Chalhoub Group”.
Starting the 2nd of November, the brand’s fans across the UAE can access http://swarovski.ae and browse the online catalogue to choose from their favourite Swarovski pieces.
Patrick Chalhoub, CEO, Chalhoub Group, commented: “It is crucial to provide seamless online and offline experience to our customers and answer their needs. We are pleased to accompany Swarovski in the development of their e-commerce site that will complement the current offer and hence widen their choice of purchase at a time where digital is critical to remain relevant. Luxury e-commerce in the region will represent 1.4 billion US$ in the coming 4 years.”
Through the e-commerce platform, consumers will be able to shop for the same collections of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, sets, and watches, among others, available at Swarovski stores, as the brand is availing a wide range of selections for them to choose from.
From his side, Nasr Sleiman, Director, Consumer Goods Business, Swarovski Middle East, commented: “The e-commerce sector has been rapidly growing in the UAE thanks to the country’s affluent and tech-savvy population. Since digital technologies are crucial within the retail industry in the region, it was important for us to build a digital store that is relevant to our local market and helps us grow our brand to reach a wider audience”.
This launch marks Swarovski’s first e-commerce venture in the region, but certainly not the last, as the brand is also planning to roll out its e-commerce platform in Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region beginning next year.
