The students of the Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment at the German-Jordanian University held the first positions in the "Arab Starbak" competition for best design organized by the Lebanese Packaging Center "Liban Pak" and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) at the headquarters of the Union of Arab Chambers in Beirut. The students of the Department of Design and Visual Communication at the College for the third year in a row won all the competition awards in the Kingdom in its categories structural design and food preservation under the supervision of Engineer Rawan Al-Majzoub. Hamza Zablawi won the first prize for the structural design category while student Alia Bitar won the second prize for the structural design category, while Zain Nabulsi received the first prize for the category of food preservation.
It is noteworthy that the competition that participated in the current year 2019 about 930 students from 11 Arab countries: Egypt, Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Yemen, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Lebanon aims to promote creativity Innovation in design and packaging, which included three categories: visual packaging category, packaging structural design category and food safety packaging category
