Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal will inaugurate a state-of-the-art public park with various facilities and tourist attractions in Taif on Monday, said a website.
The Radf Park, spread over 565,000 square meters, is a major project in the Kingdom, comprising tourism, social and amusement sections.
Taif Mayor Mohammad Al-Mukhrij said the park has several lawns and playgrounds and a parking area for 1,200 cars, besides 10 complexes for children’s games.
He said that the southern part of the park has center of sports activities including football, car races, table tennis halls, bowling, billiard, sitting halls, swimming pools, library and health club. There is also a green area with facilities for pedestrians, with beautiful lightings and fountains.
“The amusement and commercial facilities include markets, hotels, restaurants, outdoor and indoor games, parking, museums, exhibition hall, film hall and family meeting halls. The park has models of various historical places of the Kingdom in its gardens,” he said.
“The park has 150 parks inside it, including the King Abdul Aziz Camp Park and Farhat Park. Another 30 parks would come up soon. The park has facilities for cultivation of various plants,” said Al-Mukhrij.
The governor will also inaugurate “Al-Faisal, a Witness and Martyr” exhibition in Taif on Monday in the presence of Prince Turki Al-Faisal, chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Center for Islamic Studies and Research, a number of princes, officials and intellectuals.
