Smart Dubai Government launches campaign for DubaiID registration at Dubai Courts

Smart Dubai Government Establishment (SDG), the technology arm of Smart Dubai Office, has launched an initiative for the registration in ‘DubaiID’ service, which provides access through a single username to more than 600 services at Dubai Courts. The campaign was launched in the presence of H.E. Wesam Lootah, CEO of SDG, and H.E. Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts.

The ‘DubaiID’ service, launched by SDG in collaboration with the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), reflects the commitment and diligence of SDG in providing infrastructures and shared services to the various government entities. These basic frameworks will assist them in successfully providing the public with seamless access to their services around the clock and accomplish their vision which is aligned with that of Smart Dubai Office to make Dubai the  happiest city on earth.

H.E. Dr. Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office, said: "We are keen on implementing smart initiatives in line with Dubai’s general policies, strategic plans, and initiatives. This is aimed at implementing the directives of the wise leadership to make the emirate as the world’s smartest and happiest city. In line with this, we are tirelessly working to make the smart transformation system to be efficient in achieving happiness of the society. The DubaiID service complements the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to provide a single identification number to each customer in accordance with the ‘Dubai Government Initiative 2021’.

H.E. Lootah, said: "We are delighted to launch a campaign for the registration in ‘DubaiID’ at Dubai courts and are keen to activate the service which provides access to the smart services of most government entities. It enables customers to have access to smart and innovative services, saving their time and effort. This will also enable them to have a delightful experience which will contribute to their happiness. This reflects our keenness to realize the vision of H.H.  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to work delligently to ensure the happiness and prosperity of Dubai’s inhabitants."

Meanwhile, H.E. Al Mansouri, underlined the importance of SDG's initiative of launching the "DubaiID" service which will enable customers from various segments of the society to access and complete all smart and innovative services. He reiterated that as a government entity, Dubai Courts is keen on keeping pace with Dubai's transformation into an entirely smart city through its services provided to customers.

H.E. Al Mansouri pointed out that the unified electronic access will contribute effectively in making customers happy. He stated that it is a goal which Dubai Court is keen to attain by constantly upgrading its services and making electronic services smarter in line with its vision of ‘Pioneering in Courts Work.’ He further said that it will facilitate litigants' transactions, as the new smart apps will serve its customers and employees in achieving the best performance indicators and satisfying all segments of the society.

Registration in ‘DubaiID’ service allows automatic access to more than 600 services provided by 16 Dubai government entities through a single username and password. This eliminates the need to register with each government entity separately and have multiple personal identification accounts. Registration in ‘DubaiID’ is also possible through electronic kiosks, which are available Dubai wide at government entities' customer service halls and through biometric readers.

Registration has lately been updated through the website: https://myid.dubai.gov.ae, enabling customers to avail of a selected package of electronic and smart government services. Customers can also benefit from the government services provided by the participating entities by completing the registration procedures by scanning their fingerprints in dedicated kiosks across Dubai. It is currently possible to register through tablets with the help of DubaiID certified registration representative; however, such tablets are only available in government service centers.

Dubai visitors can register in DubaiID by scanning their passports at the biometric reader connected with the tablet to avail all the electronic services provided by the government entities participating in the service.
