Iraqi star Waleed Al Shami gave one of the most beautiful performances at Souk Okaz, entertaining a full arena at the Iraqi Pavilion in the Arab Quarter of Souk Okaz. The concert was one of a number of musical performances that have enthralled crowds at this year’s Taif Season.
The concert, which began at 9pm, was led by Iraqi maestro Wissam Khasaf and his band, with Al Shami coming on to perform many of his greatest hits, and also new songs. The audience responded with waves of applause, with Al Shami interacting with the crowd. Two large screens had been added outside the Iraqi pavilion, allowing more visitors to Souk Okaz to see the concert.
The audience inside the arena responded with waves of applause, with Al Shami interacting with the crowd and showing his happiness at the reception. He expressed his admiration for the Taif Season organizers, expressed his gratitude to be taking part, and thanked the organizers for their hospitality.
