The royal decrees appointing new young leaders in government would boost political, social and economic development in the country, say Shoura Council members and other officials.
Several Shoura members said the appointment of Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Prince Mohammed bin Salman as crown prince and deputy crown prince was a visionary decision.

Mohammed Al-Naji said Prince Mohammed bin Naif has significant experience tackling terrorism and is known for his humane treatment of detainees’ families, particularly those who surrendered to the authorities. He has also developed extensive contacts with foreign countries on security issues, said Al-Naji.
Assaf Abu Thinain said the royal decrees reflect Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s vision for the future. Under the leadership of the king, crown prince and deputy crown prince, the country would remain “an oasis of peace, stability and development,” he said.

Huda Al-Hilaisi said the royal decrees were the expression of King Salman’s strategic vision, while Sadaqa Fadil said it would help modernize state institutions and ensure better services for citizens.
Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Toraifi said King Salman has taken wise decisions with the new appointments and would accelerate development and achieve national unity.
Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, minister of social affairs, said that the royal decrees reflect the depth of King’s Salman’s vision and wisdom in a nation that was stable and secure amid chaos and tension in other nations.

Saud Al-Misaibeeh, former public relations director at the Interior Ministry, said the royal decrees were decisive and would ensure the security and stability of the country.
Osama Al-Bar, mayor of Makkah, said the king has taken wise decisions that would have a profound impact on the development of the country and its citizens.
Similarly, several academics said the royal decrees showed the king has a great deal of foresight and that it would boost the country’s standing in the world.
Bakri Assas, rector of Um Al-Qura University, said the royal decrees would further stabilize the country at a time when there is political, security and economic chaos in many other countries.

Abdullah Al-Rabish, rector of Dammam University, said the university staff had pledged their allegiance to the king and the other new leaders. The move would further improve government performance, he said.
Rector of King Saud University Badran Al-Omar said the royal decrees have breathed new life into the country and would ensure it embarks on a new phase of progress.
