Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has named Hanan Darwish as its new Cluster President, Gulf and Pakistan, effective January 1, 2017. In her new role, Darwish will oversee all of the company’s business operations within the region.
Hanan Darwish brings outstanding leadership credentials with more than 17 years of experience in Schneider Electric to this role. Prior to her latest appointment, she was the Global Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Human Resources, Energy Business, covering a scope of more than 29,000 employees worldwide. She was instrumental in managing HR, business transformation and change management to support the group’s profitable growth ambition while implementing best-in-class and innovative solutions.
Earlier, Darwish held various executive positions at Schneider Electric, including Vice President HR for North America, Head of HR, France covering more than 22,000 employees, and the HR Director of North East Africa and Gulf countries. She also established the Schneider Electric University, which has been a vital platform in leading and managing the trainers’ network within Schneider Electric worldwide.
Before joining Schneider Electric in 2000, Darwish worked at Procter & Gamble Co. for seven years, serving in various functions including marketing, customer business development and organization development.
