Saudia to launch direct flights to Athens

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) will launch its new international destination to Athens in Greece, on June 5, 2019, as the first international destination in 2019. It will operate four flights a week from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency said Friday.

Saudia's Director General Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser said in a statement Friday that operating direct flights to Athens comes in the context of investment in the new fleet and expanding Saudia's operations in the international sector, which achieved during 2018 a big leap (11%) over 2017, as the sector witnessed an unprecedented expansion in the number of new destinations.
