Saudia’s Al Bayraq to start service on June 1

Saudia Private Aviation, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines, will launch its Al Bayraq flight service between Jeddah and Riyadh from June 1, according to Saleh Al-Jasser, director general of Saudia. There will be 12 scheduled flights daily in both directions from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., he said.

The Saudia chief made these remarks after launching the outlet for reservation and sales services of Al Bayraq flights at a ceremony held at the private terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah on Tuesday.

Several senior officials of Saudia and KAIA attended the function. Al-Jasser opened the platforms of the excellent service that will offer a bouquet of services such as reservation, sales, issuing boarding pass, and uploading booking app on smart devices.

He also opened the lounge for Al Bayraq services, covering an area of 600 square meters with a capacity for 60 guests at a time. Al Bayraq, which is part of the national carrier’s Transformation Program initiatives, has already started experimental operation prior to the start of its formal operation.

Al-Jasser and other officials inspected one of the three aircraft, Airbus 310, equipped with Al Bayraq VIP configuration, with a seating capacity of 48. Al Bayraq provides a unique travel experience through Saudia’s private terminals and lounges located at the private terminals of KAIA-Jeddah and King Khalid International Airport-Riyadh.

Al Bayraq is the new service offered by Saudia in cooperation with its private aviation unit — Saudia Private Aviation. The unit provides various types of private aircraft to transport businessmen and company passengers. It offers highest standard in safety, security, and privacy.

The unit provides private aviation services and offers the possibility of travel 24/7. This includes all the necessary trip preparations, in addition to fulfilling special requests through continuous follow-up from the minute the aircraft takes off until it arrives safely at its scheduled destination.
