Saudi Total launches SR. 25 million plan to expand its plant in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Total Arabia announced a plan to expand its factory located in the industrial Valley in King Abdullah Economic City; to keep pace with rising demand for its products of Total oils and lubricants, as well as to strengthen its presence in the Saudi market.

 

Mr. Hisham Atallah, Managing Director of Saudi Total, revealed the new expansion plan on the sidelines of a special meeting, held with a delegation from the local press; during their visit to the plant to be acquainted of the most modern and sophisticated technologies used in oil production.

 

Atallah stressed the importance of the expansion in view of its positive impact on doubling the production and enhancement in one of the most important markets in the Gulf and the Middle East. He also stressed that the project reflects the keen interest of Total in Saudi market in light of its ideal Geo-strategic location and strong infrastructure.  

 

He further noted that the expansion of the plant will promote the Kingdom's position as a continental pole for the production and  exporting of the brand's products. He, as well, affirmed the observance of all occupational and environmental health safety standards, and that all lubricants production is in line with the strategic vision of the Total.

 

Saudi Total owns a large plant for blending and packaging  lubricants. The plant  is built on an area of 65000 square meters and  capable of efficiently blending oil and lubricant products, which were manufactured according to the world's highest standards. Noting that the plant has obtained the ISO 9001 certificate after ten months of its opening in November 2013.  At the end of 2014, the plant celebrated its  first anniversary and first full year of production of various types of lubricants, and posted an increase of 1% over the production capacity. Saudi Arabia is considered as one of the largest lubricants market in the Middle East.

 

Saudi Total has allocated more than SR. 25 million to implement this expansion before the end of this year to reach an annual capacity of 42,000 tons. This expansion will focus on the construction of an additional packaging line, in addition to all the operational works related to production, packaging and distribution,  in addition to using the leading technology in the production process that will help the company to meet the needs of the rapidly growing market of Saudi Arabia, it also would put Total as one of the most important lubricants manufacturer in Saudi Arabia.
