Transport Ministry of Saudi Arabia and the Public Transport Authority, and Elm, the Ministry’s technology partner are participating in the GITEX Technology Week 2016, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 16 to 20 October.
The Ministry is expected to showcase its experience in the deployment of vehicle dispatch and guidance applications that culminated in the Wasl platform. Also, the Naql portal, one of the Ministry’s latest upcoming services, which facilitates land and marine transportation services to individual and corporate users, will be shown.
“The Ministry’s tour de force at GITEX aims to showcase our accumulated experiences in running and tracking fleets through apps and linking together cab service companies that do not have their own apps,” said Turki Altoaimi, the Ministry’s marketing and communication advisor. “We will feature the objectives and safety and security benefits afforded by these services, and spread the word about the Ministry’s initiative to switch over to electronic services that are accessible anywhere, anytime.”
Wasl is a comprehensive electronic platform that contains many services and features that enable the Authority to manage transport services electronically, while Naql provides land and marine transport services to individuals and corporations.
