Saudi Ministry of Health and Sanofi sign a strategic cooperation agreement

the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health and Sanofi - a global healthcare leader- have signed a strategic cooperation agreement; the objective of this agreement is to support Healthcare professionals with continuous training for diabetes education in primary care sector, medical research in the area of Diabetes and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training program.

In this occasion, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Saeed the Deputy Minister for Public Health in the ministry of health, commented “having this sustainable and holistic approach to educate healthcare professionals is the key towards improving patients’ quality of life; by signing this executive agreement, primary healthcare physicians will have tailored training programs over a long period time on different aspects on how to best manage diabetes and provide highest possible healthcare services to the patients.”


Meanwhile, Dr. Salah Mousa, General Manager of Sanofi Saudi Arabia, said “Sanofi is committed to improve access to healthcare for the patients in Saudi Arabia; having this strategic public-private partnership is a comprehensive approach to combat diabetes, as it is a life threatening condition if it is not controlled/managed. Treatment alone is not the answer to fight diabetes, which is the reason why Sanofi is partnering up with the Ministry of Health and other authorities focusing on continuous medical education for primary care physicians, medical research particularly in type 2 diabetes and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training program for healthcare professionals”.
