Samsung Electronics Levant, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, graduated the first wave of Samsung Academy trainees, located at King Abdullah II School for Information Technology at the University of Jordan.
A total number of 30 students trained on the latest devices and technologies provided at Samsung Academy, to prepare them for the workforce as certified technicians. Celebrating the occasion, Samsung Electronics Levant held a graduation ceremony at its offices, with the presence of Mr. Fadi Abu Shamat, Head of Retail & Corporate Marketing, Mr. Radi AlGhoul, Head of Customer Service Department who gave the certificates to the IT and Engineering students, and Mr. Mouayad Qawasmeh; Technical Support Manager /Customer Service Department at Samsung Electronics Levant, who trained the students to elevate and develop their abilities and gain new skills.
Mr. Fadi Abu Shamat commented: “We’re thrilled to graduate the first wave of Samsung Academy students, to give them the opportunity to develop their technical skills and provide them the chance of practical training. Samsung has other educational facilities at the University of Jordan to elevate education level in the kingdom and improve youth development, by utilizing innovative products and solutions.”
Samsung Academy is located at King Abdullah II School for Information Technology with 400 square meters space, and has three sections: R & D department, Service Center, that offers participants maintenance workshops for non-students at the university for the mobile and audio visual devices, in addition to Samsung lounge, an area dedicated for students to study and have a break between lectures.
