Sage ‘Advice Roadshow’ to discuss SMAC in Saudi Arabia

Sage, the market and technology leader for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems, together with distribution partner Josor, will hold a luncheon discussion on the role of SMAC (social, mobile, analytics, and cloud) technologies in business innovation across Saudi Arabia. The events will take place in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar and will include a keynote presentation, SMAC role play, Sage Saudi Arabia Strategy, and a customer success story.

Adopting SMAC era technologies (also known as the third-platform) into ERP platforms requires the assimilation of digital trends that have become part of a global work culture. For example, increasingly as work transitions to accommodate flexi-hours, BYOD policies, and a mobile workforce, business solutions need to be accessible from anywhere, and through any mobile device.

This also means the business software should be designed with user experience in mind so it becomes intuitive, attractive and includes features such as chat to connect with colleagues and support. The accumulation and analysis of data will provide greater insight into the functioning of the business and assisting in understanding consumer behaviour, and carry out predictive maintenance, or drive sales optimisation.

Recognizing this, Sage is preparing for the onset of the SMAC era, which emphasizes simpler, more agile, and modular software platforms to support organizational growth by conducting a series of ‘advice roadshows’ to communicate to clients and prospective clients, SMAC related developments in Sage solutions and ascertain market requirements through discussions. The ‘advice roadshows’ or luncheon discussions were held from 07-08 December in Kuwait and Jordan, and will now run from 12-14 December in Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Abdulmohsen Albadr, Founder & CEO, Josor, said: “It is extremely important to communicate Sage’s readiness to address, participate, and provide solutions that consider the sociological trends affecting business practices and technological changes. We are thrilled to participate in Sage’s initiative of communicating and discussing these changes with our clients and prospective clients—it is a testament to the quality of solutions and services Sage offers.’’

Mr. Keith Fenner, Vice President – Sage Enterprise Africa and Middle East, said: “As Saudi Arabia enacts government policies of economic diversification, and Saudization in line with Vision 2030, we must be mindful of the young labour pool and their preferences for ways to work. Developing solutions to enable a sense of freedom of movement, cultivate and environment of learning and teamwork, and intuitive and attractive user interfaces are paramount to the efficient use of Business Management Solutions and ERP platforms.”

The luncheon discussion will display Sage’s preparation for the advent of the SMAC era, and to provide some tips on how to deal with ensuing changes while we receive feedback from the market in Saudi Arabia.”
