Riyadh to receive 2.4m cubic meters of water daily over summer

NWC’s completed operational plan for summer 2016 aims to provide Riyadh residents and visitors with ample supplies of water during a period where demand is traditionally high.

Eng. Abdullah Al-Shaya, Executive Director of RCBU, stated that NWC and the Saline Water Conversion Corporation shall work together to pump more than 2.45 million cubic meters of water daily, an increase of over 130,000 cubic meters than what is usually provided.

He said field teams are ready and working around the clock to handle any emergency that may result in disruptions to water supply for all NWC customers.

He said NWC has considered last summer’s complaints and incidents as well as their causes and executed an emergency support project to help expedite the operation of other strategic schemes that support water provision to areas with low supplies.

Discussing preparations for customer services centers, Al-Shaya said: “Our customers may visit our Ebranch to request all NWC electronic services, or call the 24-hour toll-free number (800 44 11110).”

He said customer services centers all over Riyadh are ready to receive customers and that NWC had launched a new center in the RCBU headquarters. Other customer services centers will be opened over the next few months.
