King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (KAFRA) will host an international seminar on the heritage of the Arabian Peninsula as documented in manuscripts.
A decision to this effect was taken by the KAFRA board here on Tuesday during its 45th meeting under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Participants in the seminar will include researchers from within the Kingdom and abroad. The seminar will prepare a database of manuscripts on the Arabian Peninsula in coordination with King Fahd National Library.
The board also decided to prepare a comprehensive strategy for KAFRA, developing its work and making preparations for holding a symposium on the late King Abdullah.
The board approved the participation of KAFRA in the International Digital Library, which is a UNESCO initiative. The board members thanked King Salman for the care and attention given to the national history and KAFRA.
