Riyadh schools directed to follow instructions on bus transport

The General Department of Education in Riyadh has directed all schools to follow instructions governing school transport when transporting students by school buses so as to ensure their safety.

Schools are also responsible for uploading and updating the data of students transported by school buses, said Hamad bin Nasser Al-Wahaibi, director general of education in Riyadh. 

He stressed the need to hold meetings for students benefiting from school transport to provide them with the necessary guidance, organize campaigns to raise students’ awareness of safety on buses, and train students to deal with emergencies on buses.

He urged schools to ensure the emptiness of buses after students leave, and immediately call absentees.
