Riyadh governor opens entertainment projects

Prince Faisal bin Bandar, governor of Riyadh, opened on Wednesday 20 environmentally friendly entertainment projects with a total area of more than 270,000 sq. meters. Among interesting features of these new parks are replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids.

The projects are part of efforts by the Riyadh municipality to promote greenery in the city as part of a comprehensive vision of urban growth that requires recreation sites and gardens in all new residential neighborhoods and communities.
Among these new parks are the Prince Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf Garden in Al-Hamra district, between Exit 9 and Exit 10, the Landmarks Garden in Mugharrazat neighborhood on the Eastern Ring Road, and Ha’ir Park.
He also opened five parks in Eastern Riyadh: Gulf Park, Peace Park, Yarmouk, Cordoba and a park in Nadheem neighborhood.
“The new environmental projects are part of a project aimed at creating positive relationships between people and place. It includes the provision of environmental, recreational and humanitarian sites for the city's population,” said Riyadh Mayor Ibrahim Al-Sultan.
Al-Sultan noted the governor's support and his directives to provide all means and services to the people as well as his keen interest in environmental, recreational, and humanitarian projects.
Among the new gardens opened by Prince Faisal were one in Laban district, Arrabie, Maathar, two gardens in Al-Ghudair and a garden in Al-Morouj neighborhood.
